Amrita Honeywell 2021 in a nutshell

Amrita Honeywell Hackathon 2021 is a 48 hour inter-college hackathon at Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru Campus, conducted by the school's CSE Departmental Forum, FACE in collaboration with Honeywell where the participants will hail from all campuses of Amrita School of Engineering.

At Amrita Honeywell, we provide the participants with a platform, provide them with all the required facilities for a hackathon and a conducive environment to support effective coding. The contest gives undergraduate students an opportunity to meet their counterparts from other campuses and share ideas and opinions.

200 Average Turnout

Our hackathons in the last 11 editions have always had around 200 undergraduate student developers from all branches, years and campuses of Amrita.

48 hrs Hackathon

Teams have 48 hours to ideate their plan, design their solution and implement it as an end-to-end application.

Our previous hackathons have had participants from all campuses of Amrita School of Engineering, competing with each other for a grand prize under the mentorship of esteemed SMEs.

Problem Statements

  1. Object Detection of alphabets and numbers on terrain images and videos by applying Deep Learning. Export the output at regular time intervals to a spreadsheet.

  2. Construct fire network topology map in the iOS mobile app with the given neighbouring nodes information.

  3. Generate insights from surveillance videos

  4. Convert monolithic Windows service application into Web app based architecture with expected functionality. (Architecture and functionality details will be disclosed in the opening presentation of the hack.)

  5. Create and identify a ML model to train and test a dataset for power quality classification.


In order to encourage and facilitate participants to decipher their problem statements, Amrita Honeywell Hackathon 2021 has been shifted by 2 weeks and will be held on 24th February, 2021.
